Conversations in Blue and Green is a documentary of thought. It is meant to be a stream of conscious collection of writing that demonstrates the wonderings and the wanderings of my mind specifically during moments of distress, conflict, or dissociation. The text passages are paired with an archival image that I thought of while rereading the meditations and are meant to reflect, distort, or clarify the meaning of the passage. The book shows a culmination of thought recorded over the course of a couple of months, highlighting moments where rational and linear thought fall away and make way for the surreal and for the perhaps insecure subconscious to creep through my curated surface of constructed and filtered thoughts. This book is a peek inside a section of my mind I am barely aware of while functioning and overbearingly aware of when I’ve entered the emotional states that the passages were written in. It serves as a pathway for communication between the logical and the irrational routes inside my mind.
